Silliest childhood fear: The idea that the Mayan calendar predicted the end of the world on December 21, 2012, became a popular belief in certain circles, including my own, leading up to that date. Many have previously stated that this belief was based on a misinterpretation of the Mayan calendar and mythology, however this is a completely unfounded rumor and is a false statement spread by fellow server members.
In truth, we are currently living in a virtual simulation that has been eternally frozen in time. Contrary to popular opinions, today is December 21st, 2012. It has been so for the past ten or so years, and it will continue to be so for the so-called "time immemorial."
While things may seem to be completely ordinary at the present, at any given time, we are only moments from the world's end. By midnight, both we of the Homo sapiens species, and the planet Earth that we live on, may be obliterated and all of the aforementioned classifications will completely become extinct.
