As the day of spooky fun has come and gone, horror movies such as “Happy Death Day,” “It” and “Jigsaw,”  will continue to send shivers down your spine, all still playing in area theaters.

Happy Death Day

Theresa “Tree” Gelbman, a college student, wakes up one morning with a suspicious feeling of already having lived that day. As she goes about her day, a masked killer brutally takes her life, and Gelbman wakes up to the same morning, as if it never happened. Until she figures out who killed her, she is forced to relive the same nightmares of her murder. Ranked one of the best horror movies in 2017 by Forbes, “Happy Death Day,” is sure to keep you on your toes.

Jigsaw

“Do you want to play a game?” is the infamous quote of Jigsaw in the previous movies of the “Saw” series; now he is back. As dead bodies turn up, a police investigation ensues that leads to a suspect under the alias Jigsaw. The sadistic madman gathers a group of unlucky victims to play a lethal game of pure survival. You must watch this movie if you are a fan of the “Saw” franchise.

It

In Derry, Maine, seven juvenile outcasts face a shape-shifting evil that comes out of the sewers every 27 years to feed on the children of the town. As they come together during one terrifying summer, they battle the clown, Pennywise, and fight their own fears while doing so. After you watch this movie, the jolly clown at birthday parties will no longer make you smile, but instead shiver in fear.
