Diamond Bar High School senior Justin Jun Woo Ahn, who was planning to attend UC Berkeley or UCLA in the fall, died Wednesday as a result of injuries he sustained in a traffic accident on Sunday afternoon.

Ahn was a devoted member of the National Junior Olympic Shooting team, where he even placed third in the air pistol category at the national championships in 2014.

“I will always remember […] his laugh, his smile, his personality, his jokes, his smell, his humor and so much more. I spent most of my life with him. I saw him almost everyday for most of my life. He was the best friend I could ask for. He is my brother,” DBHS junior Tony Chung said.

Ahn also enjoyed hip-hop dancing and creating choreography with Chung, his best friend.

“We had a type of relationship that was special. It was a type of brotherhood that you would only see in movies. He was always looking to make people happy. He was good at it. He always took care of me. He loved me for who I am. He taught me so much and made me who I am today. I will always miss him.”

Friends of Justin Ahn signed a card in the LINC. Funeral plans are undetermined at this time.
