After two months of searching, Diamond Bar High School’s Athletic Department has found its new Athletic Director in longtime Brahma  Albert Lim. Lim comes in after former AD Kevin Ferguson transferred to Valencia High School.

To be an Athletic Director means to be in a position to serve all our student-athletes and our coaches. Athletics is an extension of what is taught in the classroom and prepares students for the realities of life by fostering non-cognitive skills such as growth mindset, social-emotional intelligence, grit, trustworthiness, responsibilities, optimism, and the importance of hard work are just to name a few,” Lim said.

Lim has been a part the staff for over eight years, starting in 2009 as an assistant football coach. However, Lim’s history with DBHS dates back to over 20 years ago when he was a student and even a member of the undefeated 1995 CIF Championship football team.

As a staff member, Lim has filled a multitude of roles for the school, serving as a Peer Counseling Advisor, P.E. teacher and Academic Support teacher.

Already, Lim is busy at work as the new AD, having named  former AD and current history teacher Kurt Davies as  the new head coach for the softball team, replacing retiring  coach Robert Garcia.
