DEMOCRATS LAUNCH IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY
During a phone call to Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky, President Donald Trump asked Zelensky to look into Democratic 2020 election candidate Joe Biden and his family, leading to Democrats pushing for Trump’s impeachment. In addition, Trump’s special envoy, Kurt Volker, resigned Sept. 27 after House Democrats stated they would interview him about Trump and Zelensky.

Two years after a gunman killed 58 people at the Route 91 Harvest music festival from a room in Mandalay Bay, thousands of liability claims will be settled as MGM Resorts International agreed to pay up to $800 million to compensate the shooting victims.
HONG KONG PROTESTOR FACES JAIL TIME
Hong Kong 18-year-old protester Tsang Chi-kin will face criminal charges after getting shot by an officer. Chi-kin tried to hit the officer with a metal rod. Videos of the shooting have surfaced onto social media, further angering protesters even more.
YOUNG ACTIVIST PREACHES CLIMATE CHANGE
16-year-old Swedish activist Greta Thunberg pointed out global leaders’ inaction on addressing the problems caused by climate change in her speech at the U.N. Climate Action Summit on Sept. 23. People around the world also participated in protests from Sept. 20-27 to push for more action regarding climate change.
