With Autumn comes cool weather, colorful leaves, Halloween and Thanksgiving festivities, and best of all, delicious seasonal foods. From the warmth of pumpkin spice desserts to the sweetness of halloween candy, Fall flavors are certainly fantastic. Treat your tastebuds by making these Fall delicacies.
Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars
1 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup melted butter
Four 8 oz. packages of cream cheese
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup canned pumpkin
2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
Line a 13 by 9 inch pan with parchment paper.
Combine the graham cracker crumbs with melted butter, and press the crust into the bottom of the pan.
Mix the cream cheese with the sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time.
Spread half of the mixture over the crust.
Mix the rest of the cream cheese mixture with the canned pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice. Spoon this into the pan.
Bake for 50 minutes, or until set. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool for about an hour.
Refrigerate for a minimum of 3 hours before cutting.
Jack o Lantern Oreos
1 package of double stuffed oreos
1 package of orange melting candy
Melt the orange melting candy according to the instructions on the package.
Take apart the Oreos and press the lollipop skewers into the filling. Add a few drops of the melting candy to the center of the oreo to help keep it together. Reassemble the cookies and wait until the melting candy at the center hardens.
Coat the Oreo in the orange melting candy until it is completely covered. Place on wax paper and let harden.
Use the black frosting to decorate the Oreo so that it has the face of a jack o lantern.
Easy Caramel Apples
1 14 oz. package of individually wrapped caramel candies
2 tbsp milk
6 craft sticks
Remove the stems from the apples, and place a craft stick into the tops of each one.
Microwave the caramel candies and the milk in a bowl for two minutes, and stir once.
Roll the apples in the caramel mixture. Then coat them with any other desired toppings (peanuts, M&Ms, sprinkles, etc.)
Place the apples onto a buttered baking sheet and allow them to cool.
