With league play two weeks away, the Diamond Bar High School football team lost their third contest  of the season on Friday, 49-0  against the San Dimas Saints.

Before the first quarter was over, San Dimas held a 21-0 lead, leaving the Brahmas in a hole they were unable to dig out of.

The second quarter began with Diamond Bar playing tough on defense, and neither side scored for the first six minutes. The Brahmas came close to scoring their first touchdown when senior Davion Bluitt rushed the ball to the eight-yard line, but they were unable to put points on the board. The Saints came back to score their fourth touchdown of the night, and then another with 1:43 left before the end of the first half. The score was 35-0 at halftime.

Neither team scored in the third quarter, but San Dimas took a 42-point lead a minute into the quarter. Diamond Bar could not overcome the deficit as the Saints ended the game scoring their sixth touchdown of the night, bringing the final score to 49-0.

After the one-sided loss, the Brahmas have two weeks to prepare  for their first league game against Glendora, last year’s league champions, at home.
