A Diamond Bar man was arrested by Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials April 29 on suspicion of sending illicit messages to male students attending Diamond Bar High School. He was later released after posting a $15,000 bail, according to CBS Los Angeles.

Reynato Garcia, 35, was seen loitering on DBHS campus last November, according to the DBHS administration. After talking to students about jobs, he began soliciting sexual activity. Garcia attempted to make the boys “perform sexual acts” for money, and continued to contact them via text messages, according to CBS News Los Angeles.

The Diamond Bar man was caught after sheriff’s detectives pretended to be one of the students who was propositioned online. It was revealed that he was heading to Hawaii, and Garcia was caught at the Los Angeles International Airport as he passed through the security check.

Detectives believe that there are additional victims involved with this incident. Anyone with more information on this incident can contact the LA County Sheriff’s Department.
